SCORE to partner with Molecular Engineering and Sciences Institute

The Sepsis Center of Research Excellence (SCORE) and the UW Molecular Engineering and Sciences Institute have been awarded two pilot grants to build collaborations between the two programs.

Awards were made to Co-PIs Dr. Eric Morrell, assistant professor (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine) and Ayokunle Olanrewaju, assistant professor (Bioengineering and Mechanical Engineering) for their project entitled “Developing Capillaric Microfluidics to Determine ARDS Sub-phenotypes.”

Also selected for funding were Co-PIs Dr. Eoin West, professor (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine) and Daniel Chiu, professor (Chemistry) for their project “Rapid Point-of-Care Diagnosis of Melioidosis with Pdot Metabolic Sensors”
